In an increasingly complex macroeconomic and sociopolitical environment, the Private Capital Investment Fund industry continues its strong growth and needs a fortiori high skills and qualified professional profiles, right from its entry-level job figures.

Therefore, SafesPro promotes the University Master's Degree in Private Capital Funds Administration: the first university master's degree in Europe dedicated to training professionals specializing in the administration of investment funds of Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure e Real Estate.

The master's program is aimed at graduates in economics, finance, law, marketing or management engineering with a strong propensity for teamwork and an interest in the investment world.

The master's program aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to work in this field and kick-start a successful career with excellent growth prospects.

The master's program, which is accredited by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, includes a two-week project work in Luxembourg and a path of 3-month training internship, in Luxembourg or another European state, at one of the Master's partner companies (asset management firms or multinational companies specializing in private capital investment funds administration & consulting), which offers participants the chance to put into practice the skills acquired during the course of their education and make the most of any long-term job placement opportunities.

Main partner of the Master's program is. LPEA, a Luxembourg association that represents, promotes and protects the interests of the Luxembourg private equity and venture capital industry.

LPEA has more than 500 members, half of whom are investors (LPs and GPs, including Family Offices and Private Banks).

LPEA actively promotes this Master's program and assists students in securing an internship at the end of the Master's program through sharing their profiles in its network.

LPEA also contributes to the master's educational offerings by providing key components of the investment fund industry as guest speakers and master's faculty.

The University Master's Program in Private Capital Funds Administration has the following aims:

  • To provide basic knowledge and advanced skills for the purpose of understanding how the Private Capital Investment Fund industry operates and the various stages of a fund's life from its creation to its liquidation;
  • Equip participants with the corresponding operational tools to put the acquired knowledge into practice through the analysis and construction of practical cases;
  • offer participants the opportunity to develop their teamwork and problem solving skills;
  • enable participants to build a network of professional relationships with key industry players;
  • Train professionals who specialize in private capital fund administration.

Young graduates who want to pursue a career in private capital fund administration.

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Law, Management Engineering or Marketing. Other eligible bachelor's degrees will be evaluated on application.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English (B1 level) is required.

Various career profiles in the financial sector at investment fund managers (asset managers), companies specializing in investment fund administration, banks, law firms, tax firms and consulting firms operating in the same sector.

By way of example, but not exhaustive, we list some of the qualified profiles to which Master's students will have quick access upon completion of their studies:

Classes will be held June 2025 to September 2025 in remote mode.
The project work will take place in December 2025 in attendance in Luxembourg.

The costs of accommodation and possible visa (for non-EU students) are the responsibility of the participants.

1. What is the course start date?

2. What is the enrolment process?
You need to pre-enroll then to go through the official registration process which started on September 11th. Admitted candidates will receive official confirmation before lesson starts with full program details and final dates.

Will the online lectures be live or recorded? And will they be held over the weekdays or weekends? 
This Master adopts a hybrid format, which means some sessions are recorded and some are live interactions with teachers. Live lessons will take place during the weekdays.

Can this course be completed while also working full time?
In theory yes but it is your responsibility to find an arrangement with your employer. Please consider you will need to attend live sessions when they are scheduled and the project work which will be entirely in presence in Luxembourg (2 weeks).

Is this course suitable for someone who already has experience working with the Fund Accounting industry for 2-3 years?
It depends on your specific working experience. There may be some concepts that you have already seen but there is value added in following the program to achieve a higher understanding of more complex items.

Will there be any placement assistance to secure the 3 month internship?
As described in our webpage, the LPEA will provide assistance to the students in securing the internship by promoting the student profiles within its network.

When will the course fees be due for payment? Is there any merit based scholarship available?
The course fees will be due for payment as soon as your inscription is confirmed in September. We do not provide merit scholarships at the moment.
